Hi I need some help maybe someone here can help me. i was asked to paint a piece of “Khan” for a client. i want to add a quote on the piece.
“The greatest happiness is to scatter your enemy, to drive him before you, to see his cities reduced to ashes, to see those who love him shrouded in tears, and to gather into your bosom his wives and daughters.”
The quote fits my client perfectly but i want to put a spin on it and use the original way it would have been written. The problem is i know nothing of Genghis Khan or what language this quote would have been in.
hope someone can help with a link or some info. Thanx
It may be an issue that most people believe that this quote was made up as it is extremely out of character
