    • Good question. Rollo was the first duke or count of Normandy. Name of his wife was Poppa and she was daughter of a noble, not a king. King gave him the land to finally get rid of Rollo as he besieged Paris even his viking chieftain left after tribute has been paid. Rollo was simply pine in ass of Franks so they rewarded him and his descendants ruled in England and France later. Really great career 🙂
