    Mace was definitely a better weapon than sword for many purposes.

    Nice; but I’m pretty sure that’s a myth about priests using maces “so as not to spill blood”. The tv show “Conquest” isn’t exactly the best source for hard information.

      I agree the show is not the best source, really. I picked the video because it was simply funny. I agree hard info is very good but it does not means there is something wrong with humor:)

      BTW: Your comment about monks is true. Mace was a favourite weapon of numerous knight as there were no real protection against it. Even full plate armor was not enough. Mace was able to kill or to breake your bones without penetration of this armor.

    Great post, I always found maces to be unique weapons here is a site that sells a battle Flail which is a relative to the mace and share common traits, if you or anyone is interested of course.
