  1. I agree with your list. All movies were awesome.
I will add following history movies:

    Henry V
    Rob Roy
    13th Warrior

  2. Kingdom of Heaven was a good movie, not too historicaly reliable but good. Arn Templar was even better but it was not a Holywood movie so its popularity is not so great. If you like crusaders, medieval battles and history of Scandinavia and Palestine – definitely watch Arn.

    Karl, Norway

  3. I have watched a lot of Medieval Movies. There are a few on the list that I haven’t heard of so I will have to check them out. I would add one more to the list King Aurthur. I love the battle with the Saxons at the end of the Movie.

    • I agree with you. Battle was great. This Arthur movie was probably the most true look at those events. There is also upcoming movie Centurion from Roman Britain with Olga Kurylenko.

    • Where is Flesh & Blood on this list? Hauer was very good in that film. I figured that it would be mentioned. Also there is The War Lord with Charleton Heston not on here. Those count tops for me.

  4. As much as I agree with the new version of Lion in Winter with Patrick Stewart, I must say that the original with Peter O’Toole and Katherine Hepburn is far superior. I would have placed that one on the list instead of the later version if I had to make a choice. Also, its sort-of prequel Beckett was incredible as well.
