Is not there Rita Vika, the gaul warrior druidess?
I´d to learn something about her.
I like your website and comments and pictures of Celtic women. It was Celtic heriones who inspired me when I wrote my historical novel, THE SIGN OF THE EAGLE. It is a story about the Celtic woman, Macha, who is married to an officer in the Roman army. He is wrongfully accused of treason. As a Celtic Macha was use having nearly equal rights to men, but in the Roman world women are treated as little more than chattel. It is in the context of that situation where she clashes with Roman customs that she has to nearly single-handedly prove her husband’s innocence. For more about the story and to view a portrait of Macha, go to my website jessstevenhughes.com
