Coronation sword of Poland. Famous Polish sword, part of Polish cultural heritage. Originally sword of justice, lates ceremonial sword of Polish kings.
The sword was made in 12th or 13th century, sword of Piast dynasty.
According a legend it was worn by Boleslaus the Brave during his conquest of Ukraine. The first proven coronation use was at time of Wladyslaus Lokietek (Wladyslaw I the Elbow-high).
In service: 1320-1764.
The sword can be seen in Wawel castle in Krakow (see detail on pictures).
